| Our beloved colleague and Speech-Language Pathologist, Leigh McMahon, is moving on to new adventures with the Cree Health Board. Here is a picture of our team in the gym honouring Leigh's contributions to our team and the preschoolers with speech and language disorders she served (Leigh = front row centre with her Star Wars-themed gift). Each team member wrote her a thoughtful message that we put into a scrapbook so that she can look back and fondly remember her time with us at Mackay. We wish you all the best, Leigh! | ||

Ma collègue, à mon arrivée dans son bureau, avait décoré ma place de travail avec toutes sortes de décorations marines (poisson, etc.). Un petit mot de bienvenu était sur ma place de travail et beaucoup d'attention chaque jour elle a pour moi pour me faire sourire. Elle est formidable, et le temps passe vite quand nous sommes ensemble dans le bureau. Je fais la même chose pour elle. Ma collègue est précieuse en ces temps de pandémie avec la charge de travail que nous avons, elle est importante pour moi. | Birthday Surprise: What an evening! Turns out that my pharmacy colleagues know how to surprise someone. It was our last day of rotation at the Jewish General Hospital. We went to downtown for supper. We ate delicious Korean food. At the very last moment, unexpectedly, they threw a surprise birthday party! I could not stop smiling as everyone sang me happy birthday. I cherish our pharmacy team. Residency wouldn’t be the same without these amazing colleagues. | Badminton: Exercise is the best therapy. After 4 weeks of pharmacy rotation at the Jewish General Hospital, we went out for badminton. We drove together to the CEPSUM complex sport centre. We played for nearly 2 hours, but time went by so fast in good company. We hope to continue this tradition, and come up with a new group activity for every end of our resident rotation. | Birthday Hospital: COVID doesn’t stop us from throwing a good celebration. We celebrated a ZOOM birthday surprise for our pharmacy colleague. At lunch time, many residents from different hospitals, including MUHC and Ste-Justine, all gathered to wish him happy birthday. We waited impatiently, looking at the door every minute, with the ZOOM camera open, as he went into our office for lunch. Even in the hospital, we can make a good celebration for our colleague. |

| La dernière journée de travail Denise Bédard, conseillère cadre en chirurgie. Nous l'avons surprise avec décorations et fleurs. Malgré que sa présence nous manque énormément, sa retraite est très bien méritée! | J'avais reçu un don de minis panettone italiens de chez Salumi Vino pour remercier le personnel infirmier du K9/D4. Une belle reconnaissance qui a généré de beaux sourires! | |
